Sipping flight
This piece is meant to be displayed in your home to bring joy to any room! It is also meant to be used and loved. I designed it imagining whiskey sippers, but they also work great for tea, kombucha, or holding Q-tips or succulents.
The plinth is made from a fallen ash tree in Northern Wisconsin. I designed the plinth, and my uncle, a woodworker, crafted into a beautiful piece to hold my cups.
I threw the cups on the potters' wheel in porcelain. I hand carved them, then decorated them with glaze. I soda fired them to cone 10. These cups are food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe.
The assembled piece measures 17"W x 5"D x 4"H.
